Photovoltaic and Solar System
As for photovoltaic system, we are going to use usual solar panels, as well as swinging solar shading, controlled by a
motor, that integrate photovoltaic elements, that is the cells. They have got two functions:
1. they protect from solar light, depending on latitude and on season;
2. they guarantee perpendicularity to solar rays every year, so reaching maximum output.
This system can also be at high concentration, because they have indio or gallio chips, that produce more electricity,
capturing all the light spectrum. They have micro-manifolds which produce hot water for sanitary use. We can use
photovoltaic glasses that have tiny cells, without metallic parts and electric contacts.
Photovoltaic systems (PV system) use solar panels to
convert sunlight into electricity. A system is made up of one
or more solar panels, usually a controller or power
converter, and the interconnections and mounting for the
other components. A small PV system may provide energy
to a single consumer, or to an isolated device like a lamp
or a weather instrument. Large grid-connected
PV systems can provide the energy needed by many
The Geothermal energy is thermal energy found in large quantities on the soil. This
energy is renewable and sustainable, thanks to its minimal environmental impact. It
can be used everywhere in the world because the temperature of the soil is
constant (12°C about) every year and in every place.
Soil is a flywheel which give heat in winter and take it in summer. Systems that use
this type of energy are made of pipes remaing up to 20 metres in depths. These
pipes are inside poles or foundation plinths or in the soil. The pipes can be put
horizzontally using the surface. These pipes contain water which is heated thanks to
thermal gradient flowing between the liquid and the earth. The water flows to
other systems, such as heat pumps for conditioning systems.
For the geothermal heat pump, you need two deep
drillings down in the earth to get the heat from there.
The heat pumps are machines which extract heat from different sources and use it, then this is absorbed
by a frigogen fluid and pumped in to closed circuits to produce other thermal energy.
The machine heats liquid in the circuit evaporator, using the water of the geothermal system,
the liquid is pumped into the compressor and it heats
sanitarywater and heating water, finally the low-pressure liquid comes back to the evaporator
through the expansion valve. Heat pumps work in synergy with photovoltaic because they use the produced electricity.
This system has got a reverse cycle, so it heats in winter and it cools in summer,
limiting and eliminating maintenance and initial costs,
thanks to a single system that works every year.
The diving walls
The external walls will be formed by two plasterworks and
inside them there will be a ply and a panel of cork which is
the main insulation material.
The bearing walls:
At the right side of the bearing wall is a cover (1) and at the
other side there will be a plasterboard (9). Between the
wooden stand is an insulation of wood fiber (5) and next to
the wooden stands will be a wood fiber insulation board (4).
A wind resistance foil (3) between the battens (2) and the
cover (1) will keep out the wind.
At the left side of the wooden stands will be a plywood
sheet (7) and a butt bonding (8).
The bearing walls
At the right side of the bearing wall is a
cover (1) and at the other side there will be a plasterboard (9).
Between the wooden stand is an insulation of wood fiber (5) and next to the wooden stands
will be a wood fiber insulation board (4).

The floor insulation
The floor insulation is carried out to minimize the flow of
heat. In winter proper room insulation will trap the heat.
The floor will be constituted by wooden beams, wooden
layers, a cellulose layer and a floating floor.
Between the beams is Climacell.
Climacell is an insulation made out of recycled paper that
can be recycled a second time. It is a very environmentfriendly
Flat roof insulation:
The flat roof insulation is made out of Climacell(2). The
Climacell will be between the wooden stands (1). Under the
Climacell will be an air sealing and vapor barrier (3) that
keeps out the wetness from the house. To seal the roof
bitumen sheets are rolled out. Without the bitumen sheets
the Climacell would get wet when it rains or in the winter
when there is snow.
We chose led lights because they are the ones that consume
less. They work thanks to photovoltaic panels, so that we
have a no impact lighting system.
The classroom lights can be fitted in the false ceiling and they
are controlled by motion detectors that switched them off
when the classes are empty. As for the outdoor lighting there
are street lamps in the car park and ground lights along
The lamps produce much light with less energy.
They need only 1, 2 to 8, 6 watt.
LED lights are good for the environment.
LED lights haven't got any bad materials.
They contain no hazardous materials.
The bulbs create less heat during use, which can lead to
lower cooling costs.

Ventilate Glazed Facade
The ventilate glazed facade satisfies thermal insulation demands.
Externally a ventilate façade is perceived like the
others, the difference is that the plate application is fixed to the bearing walls of the building.
Wooden masonry is isolated thanks to a panel of cork, which allows a limited energy loss in winter.
During the summer inside the ventilation is generated, due to movement of hot air.
The presence of ventilation holes in the ground attack at
the coating and at the end of the building roof allows hot air to escape from upper holes while the cooler air is drawn
into the channel from the lower holes.
As for the traditional windows, the window frame will be made of an outer aluminium
layer, an insulator coat and a ply. The windows will be constituted by triple glazed with
two glass sheet isolated, the filling gas is krypton the windows witch this features
guarantee a heat transmittance of 0.5 W/m²K . For the glazed façade will be used special glass
windows witch have excellent insulation features.
